First Agatha Christie Interactive Golf Visual Novel! First (and last?) Agatha Playdate game with a golf user interface!

Cranking moves to different sections such as:

 clue * suspect * examine * talk * read * look *

Press B to explore each option on each different level.

(It's a lot of reading as this is an interactive visual Novel).

Press B to also go through any text messages as well.

To get to the next sections, crank and then hit A to swing the club!

Goal is to get 16 points (each hole only allows for a hole in one) and solve the mystery!

At the end crank to find a suspect then press A to finish the game with hopefully the

right suspect!!!!

I haven’t played much yet (just got past a couple of strokes) and I’m enjoying the story but I have a question!

The icons are really small and there’s no explanation for what they do. Should I be picking the icon nearest to the hole or can pick any one to get more information?

And if you’d like a hand with putting in apostrophes and quote marks then just let me know :) it would make the text easier to read in places.

Hi, thanks. Hopefully this image explains it. The tiny icons (look, read, talk) stay in place and each one represents something different, yes for more info by pressing B when you crank to the icon. The very bottom (question mark) tells you a clue (in this case a dagger in diagram seen bottom right). Some clues may be important while others not so much. Then the magnifying glass icon above clue is "suspect" which will name the main suspect at the moment. Then the hand icon represents touch/examine and will give stats if there's anything related there. Then the "talk" icon (supposed to be teeth!)  to talk with different characters there. The glasses are for reading, if there are any letters/notes/etc and finally on top is the "Eyes" to look and see details. Yes I had to take out quotes and stuff it  got to confusing with the coding as it too needed quotes. Hope this helps and i'm not confusing matters. Enjoy.

That really does help, thanks very  much for the explanation! I've still not had that much time but I'm a few holes in and enjoying the story :)

I'm so glad you are liking it! Thanks again!

Is this just an Agatha Christie novel in playdate game form.

it's a visual novel where you crank to get further clues, notes, chats, and so forth (B button). Plus to go to next level crank (with A button) to also try to get hole in one on the links!

That didn’t really answer my question, as that was already pretty clear by reading the description.

The developer's description and comment answer your question. This is not "just an Agatha Christie novel in playdate game form." This is a visual novel that uses a control interface and gameplay mechanics you'd typically find in a golf game. This is a marriage of both gaming concepts, visual novel and golf game. If you're looking for a golf game, this probably isn't it. If you like Agatha Christie and golf games, this may be up your alley.

Yes what pjpj13 said! Lots o' work went into merging the crank to show related clues and letters, keeping within the concept of golf (since the story takes place around golfing as in description) more interactive than just a novel but is story based if that hopefully helps.
